Things I learned in Montana about guns

Things I learned about guns:

  • When someone hands you a gun, make sure there are no bullets in it (even if they tell you there aren't any).
  • Never point the gun at anybody even if there are NOT any bullets in it.
  • For the safety -- F or a red circle means that if you pull the trigger it will shoot a bullet.  White or green means that you can't pull the trigger (it's locked).  Even then, don't point the gun at any one.
  • Never shoot into the sky because you never know where it will land.
  • Handle bullets with care even if they are not in a gun.
  • Always know what is behind your target as well.
  • Never shoot at anything that may ricochet the bullet.
  • Shotgun shells have a bunch of small bullets instead of a single bullet like a rifle shell does.

Thank you Uncle Korey and Dad for teaching me about guns!
